1:1 SESSIONS

PERSONALISED SUPPORT, TAILORED TO YOU

Everyone’s relationship with alcohol is different, which is why there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to changing it.

Some people come to me because they’re worried about how much they’re drinking. Others have already stopped but are finding sobriety harder than they expected. Some simply want a space to understand themselves better, work through what’s keeping them stuck and create lasting change.

Our sessions are completely tailored to you, your goals and your circumstances. Together, we’ll explore what’s been happening, identify the patterns that are holding you back and develop practical strategies that fit your life.

Whether you’re taking your first steps or have been alcohol-free for years, you’ll receive personalised support designed around where you are now.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A SESSION?

Every session lasts around 60 minutes and takes place online via Zoom, so you can join from wherever you feel most comfortable.

We’ll begin by talking about what’s brought you here and what you’d like to achieve. As we work together, we’ll explore the thoughts, habits and emotional patterns that are keeping you stuck and identify practical ways to move forward.

Depending on your individual needs, sessions may include elements of psychology, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and hypnotherapy, but there isn’t a fixed programme or script. Everything is tailored to you.

Many clients leave each session feeling clearer, more hopeful and with practical strategies they can start using straight away.

IS 1:1 SUPPORT RIGHT FOR YOU?

One-to-one sessions are ideal if you want support that’s completely personalised.

You may have tried to stop drinking before but found yourself slipping back into old habits. You may already be sober but still feel as though something isn’t clicking. Or perhaps you simply want someone to help you understand yourself better and support you as you make lasting changes.

Working together gives you the flexibility to focus on what matters most to you, at a pace that feels manageable.

You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, explore challenges in depth and receive guidance that’s tailored to your unique circumstances, rather than trying to fit yourself into a one-size-fits-all approach.

WHAT CAN WE WORK ON?

Every client is different, but common reasons people book sessions include:

  • Changing their relationship with alcohol.

  • Building confidence in sobriety.

  • Managing cravings and triggers.

  • Breaking unhelpful habits and thought patterns.

  • Anxiety and overthinking.

  • Emotional regulation.

  • Low self-esteem or self-confidence.

  • Stress, burnout and feeling overwhelmed.

  • Navigating life changes.

  • Creating healthier routines that last.

If you’re not sure whether your situation fits into one of these categories, that’s absolutely fine. Sessions are tailored to the person rather than the problem.

WHY CHOOSE 1:1 SUPPORT?

Everyone learns differently.

Some people are happy to work through an online course on their own. Others benefit from having someone alongside them to ask questions, offer guidance and adapt the support as things change.

One-to-one sessions provide:

  • Personalised support tailored to your situation.

  • The flexibility to focus on what’s most important to you.

  • Practical strategies you can begin using immediately.

  • A confidential, supportive and non-judgemental space.

  • The opportunity to explore challenges in greater depth.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Sessions are:

  • 60 minutes long.

  • Held online via Zoom.

  • £80 per session.

  • Bookable as individual appointments, with no minimum commitment.

Some clients book a single session to gain clarity on a particular issue, while others choose ongoing support. Together, we’ll decide what feels most helpful for you.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

D0 I need to have stopped before booking?

No. Whether you’re sober curious, cutting down or already alcohol-free, sessions are tailored to where you are right now.

How many sessions will I need?

Everyone is different. Some people benefit from one or two sessions, while others prefer ongoing support. We’ll regularly review what’s working and decide together what feels right.

Are sessions confidential?

Yes. Everything discussed during our sessions remains confidential, except in the rare circumstances where I have a legal or professional duty to act to protect someone’s safety. I adhere to a strict code of ethics, I'm a senior member of the ACCPH and British Psychological Society for your peace of mind.

Do you use hypnotherapy in the session?

Not usually, I will give you downloads to listen to in between sessions. We focus on challenging belief systems and discussing issues in the session. Some clients find hypnotherapy helpful, while others don’t need it. I’ll always explain any techniques I suggest, and we’ll decide together what feels right for you.
